Decorate cakes, cupcakes and biscuits with this delicious pink FunCakes fondant. The fondant, besides being able to be spread perfectly, can be used as a filling or to make decorations, it has the consistency of normal fondant.
The FunCakes fondant is perfect for colouring with food dyes. Leave the fondant to stand for one hour after colouring (covering it) for best results. Knead the fondant again before processing.
Thanks to the satin finish, the FunCakes fondant is perfect for covering a cake with sharp edges. If you want to cut out shapes, you will get clean, sharp cuts.
For 250 g of fondant add a full teaspoon of CMC and/or water, if necessary. Knead well before use and spread on a thin layer of icing sugar.
To cover a round cake with a diameter of 24/26 cm, approx. 600 g of fondant are needed. If you want to make decorations like a ribon, then add some CMC and/or water.
It is recommended to follow these steps for a better result:
- Allow the fondant to reach room temperature.
- Knead it firmly until it is smooth and elastic.
- Cover the work surface with a little icing sugar and spread the fondant with a roller until it is evenly shaped (2-3 mm thick). Turn the fondant by a quarter to prevent it from sticking. Is the edge cracked? Knead it well again until the edges are perfect when you stretch it. Then the fondant will be perfect to use.
